- As the mother of an adult child with intellectual disabilities, I can honestly say that J & M is an amazing organization that has integrity, compassion and is run professionally and efficiently. The coordinators actually care about their consumers and do whatever is necessary to be available when they are needed and remedy any issues that might arise. My son had been with other agency in the past who were neglectful. I would never choose to work with any agency but J & M. They are 5 star! Highly recommend.

- I have been working with this agency for many years. I have worked with many of the coordinators that make up this agency. However the main person that I have worked with is Tina Lacayo. I have over 6 consumers with her and Tina defines teamwork and professionalism. Working with this agency makes my end easy. She keeps us all updated on things that are going on and all the consumers involved in daily activities out in the community. She is very knowledgeable about her job and her role as a WSC. Kerri Cunningham is our support coordinator and my switch to this company was specifically because I wanted her, specifically, to handle my daughters funding and overseeing of her personal support services. - Our daughter has been a client at J&M for 17 years. They have staffed us with 2 separate coordinators to assist her (during this time). Crystal has been the WSC for the past 8 years. Crystal has been a great support system. These coordinators have used their knowledge and intelligence to guide us through the state reviews to get her the aid she needs to have an enjoyable and successful life. They were able to alleviate the stress of dealing with these agencies on our own. They are there for her in every situation and are always there to answer our questions. - My name is Ronnie - I’m best known as Shaun's Mom. It’s the best title I could ever want! I can be the best mom I can because I have marvelous helper at my side whenever I need her help or advice or just someone to vent to! Her name is Tina LaCayo. I’ve had many different coordinators before as my son has been on this program for many years but none could ever compare to Tina. I would be lost without her support and kindness. Most of all she is knowledgeable about this program more than most. I am grateful to have the help I need for my son. He is a very complicated young man with many many medical issues. Tina gives me the space to mother my son and yet is there whenever I need help or a shoulder to lean on. I couldn’t think of anybody else we would feel at ease with than Tina. - Accessing quality long-term care for a family member is difficult. Poor decisions along the way can make the difference between an independent happy lifestyle or many years in seclusion at an institution. Melissa Mazeada from J&M, inc. has been instrumental in helping our family make good decisions for long-term care after a brain injury completely changed my sister's life at a young age.
After many years with hospitalization and recovery homes, our parents met Melissa and hired her to assist with a care plan. Her efforts and direction have continually improved the level of independence and my sister's quality of life. Wise application of current social programs enables my sister to live in a nice home with two other women that need round the clock supervision. They live "at home" and have a regular caregiver as a "room-mate" rather than living in an institution that isn't home and have revolving staff that never get to know them. Karrie's brother
- My son was born in 1998 and was non-verbal. This added to my son’s frustrations of being not understood. It also made him delayed and to miss many milestones necessary in life growth. Being diagnosed as “mild-moderate” and “Global Developmental Delay” (a euphemism for a diagnosis for Autism) he needs specialized help and guidance for years to come. Since my son is a “Special Needs” person I have been in close contact with Alison N. Ford, MS, WSC, from J&M Support Coordination and Anissia Davis, MA, Service Provider from Development and Enrichment Services. Alison or Anissia will provide you with future information or referrals that are appropriate for you and your needs as you navigate through the system. My son today? He has graduated from high school, drives a car and works at Publix. He could not have done this without the assistance from both of them and they are highly recommended. -Victoria
- This is to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent support and care that J&M Support Coordination Services has provided for my brother, Eric, over the last several years. Eric, my twin brother, suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Melissa Mazaeda of J&M Support Coordination Services has been an intrinsically important part of his medical, educational and social services over the past several years. She prepares periodic plans for his care, activities and treatments and oversees his progress and follows through with the plans she developed for him. She is also very involved in legislation and new bills submitted to Tallahassee to provide adequate and better care and support for these types of patients and facilities.
Melissa consistently exhibits sincere concern for Eric. She physically checks on his well being frequently. She takes the time to sit and visit with him because she truly cares how he is getting along.
Not only does Melissa obviously care about Eric, she also cares about me, as the family member and his twin sister. She is wonderful and second to none. She understands the strain that is put on families under these circumstances, the biggest worry being the well being, happiness and proper treatment of their loved ones. She has spent many hours with me explaining Eric's plans, his progress and well being. She assures me that he is in the best of hands and is thriving and happy. She contacts me frequently to inquire about how I am doing. In October of 2019 Eric developed Septicemia and was in the hospital and rehabilitation for seven weeks. She visited often to check on Eric but also to check on me. I was extremely emotional and concerned about his condition. I did not know if he would pull through. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. I absolutely love her. Melissa and her organization has been a Godsend to Eric and our family. They are empathetic, professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone who is in a similar situation and in need of these services. Sincerely, Molly
- I'm writing this note to recommend J & M SUPPORT COORDINATION SERVICES, INC for all the parent's, sister's, brother's or guardians that have a disabled relative and have to depend on support for them through state so you can know how to take care of them, with all the paperwork and legal stuff and in's and out's of giving them the best care that they deserve. You will be very LUCKY to have Melissa and Colleen to be your coordinator. I was LUCKY enough to have been their client since the 90's. I've never had to worry or doubt anything that Melissa has done for my son. I've had more dealing with Melissa than Colleen but in all these years I haven't caught neither one lying to me about anything in regards to what's going on with him, what I need to do for him with state qualifications for him, NOTHING. She has put her HEART in her job, it's not just a JOB to her. She's actually a person that is looking out for the disabled and not just her JOB. My son is 50 years old now and can't walk, talk, is legally blind and is equivalent to a 2 year old mentally. My son has quite a few medical problems but she has always been there for him and his needs. If you are wanting a PERSON and SERVICE that you can rely on call Melissa or Colleen.
